  1. I know that must have sucked huge… esp being so young. I tried the steroid shots and it made all my hair fall out where I got the shots, so not only did I have these completely bald spots all over my head, but they left divots in my head…I thought it made pitting scars on my head. (It took forever, but the divots eventually went away) It certainly was a miserable time . But you are lucky. You have beauty … With or without hair.

  2. For me it was age 3yrs old. All my hair fell out in one week! That was back in the early 60’s and nothing was really known about it then. School was brutal. I was picked on. There was no such thing as wigs for children. No anti bullying in schools back then. Nowadays we are so blessed to have so many beautiful wigs to choose from. I wouldn’t want my hair to grow back. I love all the choices!!❤ Thank you for sharing your story. God bless you!

  3. I started losing my hair with my first pregnancy. I was 18 years old. It just kept getting thinner. I remember growing up, my Grandmother had just white peach fuzz. I went to a dermatologist and he was disrespectful and rude. He said I had the worst case of Alopecia that he has ever seen in a woman. He wanted me to use men’s extra strength Rogaine and tar shampoo. Now I am 55 and I just started wearing wigs.

  4. You are a beautiful Woman don’t worry you can always get wigs now aid you choose but honestly your beauty comes from within the beauty you have is the extra
You truly are beautiful without hair
Thank you for sharing you our story
I’m going through chemo and deal with it too

  5. Thank you for being so beautifully brave…. My hair is getting really thin and I’m scared…. My hair was the only attractive thing about my appearance… I think, anyway… Your courage is inspiring

  6. my grandson has this very disorder. it started when he was around 18 months old. he’s used to it now. the kids in school are very mean to him. breaks my heart.

  7. My sister has alopecia for years. When she found her bold spot, our dad (pharmacist) decided to treat it with magnesium. She’s drinking water with magnesium chloride hexahydrate (pharmacy quality) every day for the last 8 years. She still has the same only one bold spot. Mix 2 litres of water and 1 tea spoon of magnesium chloride hexahydrate together and drink it during a day. It also helps with other health problems btw.

  8. What advice would you give me to find the right wig or topper? Steadily losing hair at 72. My mom lost a lot of hair so I think it’s hereditary. I’m my mom’s daughter so this doesn’t surprise me!
