There is a lot of confusion about which hair loss treatments for men actually work, and which ones are bogus. So let's clear up the confusion by taking a comprehensive look into the scientifically backed treatment for men who are going bald.

  1. I heard of some people that were completely bald but had an estrogen therapy or something Like that, they gained back a huge amount of Hair which is why i think that Hair follicles take a looonnngg time to actually die. I personally would never do that but interesting If you could make a Video on it 🙂

    1. I second this, would be cool to hear more about this. I think I’ve heard of this before too. Please could you do a video on it

    2. @Illi Mai i think they technically dont die until old age. They just become so atrophied that no current treatment can make them grow properly as far as i know. i have seen a few cases where slick bald areas get covered with hair again. one case was a guy who had bald temples for 9 years. pretty neat honestly.

    3. Increased estrogen in men can cause erectile dysfunction and other sexual related problems. It can even lead to prostate cancer. I wouldn’t suggest that to anyone if i were you.

    4. @brother hh I would absolutely never advise anybody to ever do that of course, i mean Just thinking about putting estrogen in a mans body seems wrong. (Even though both genders have each Others “Main” Hormone in another for a little Bit atleast) I Just thought about the Hair follicles actually dying in that Sense because i saw bald people pretty much going Back to having a full head of Hair. Have a good day!

  2. After going down the rabbit hole of hair loss prevention, I can say that this channel releases top tier correct information.

    1. There are so much garbage out there from greedy snakeoil traders. They’re some of the worst type of people trying to scam people on their insecurities. I’m glad this channel is releasing trustworthy information for a god damn change

    2. They do. But they fail to mention DHT blocking hair products, like nioxin, which I use and has practically 0 side effects

  3. Have been taking fin and no side effects. Go to the gym daily, eat protein control your stress levels. This fight against hair loss is a marathon, not a race. Be patient. A flower doesn’t grow in a day, neither will your hair. Good luck guys.

    1. @Tanura Same here. Called Dr and pharma when the pain came. Was told to immediately stop treatment. They are well aware of the side effects and possible consequences

    2. @Enjoy the moment Big loss of sexual pleasure/sensation in penis. Also loss in feeling on penis. Also some loss of feeling on skin all over my body and more side effects but those are the biggest problem. Like I touch my upper part of penis even push it hard but barely feel anything. Very weird and scary. Still don’t understand how such thing is even possible especially it being permanent and me taking very low dosage still crazy side effects.

    3. Is it possible to regrow hair if the hairs stop growing…… Like I’ve been facing the problem , the hair follicles aren’t dead but also they won’t grow. There are tiny hairs in corner side of my forehead but they won’t grow they just remain the same size……..

  4. I have been using 1mg finasteride and liquid minoxidil for 2 years now. Anecdotally, it has been working well for me with no side effects, however I know someone who took finasteride and side effects included anxiety and suicidal thoughts and had to come off it. Use carefully.

    1. @Nghia Phan Thanh I am using Minoxidil 15% imported from Thailand which costs less than USD14 which ia good for 5 weeks.

    2. @Nghia Phan Thanh I live here in the Philippines. The Minoxidil Im using is imported from Thailand. There are lots of resellers here that is why I got it. It is alcohol-based.

  5. Finasteride for lowering DHT will slow down miniaturization. Oral Minoxidil in conjunction will lengthen the anagen phase by increasing blood supply to the dermal papillae.. Both taken together will increase hair lifespan. Great video

  6. Succinct explanation. Bravo!… Just do not neglect the collateral effects in some cases. Three percent is, in fact, a huge number when you take into consideration the amount of men that are gonna try to attenuate their hair loss. Everybody trying for the first time should be prudent, also patient, and seek the guidance of a dermatologists or medical doctor. … Anyway, I believe your video is the best I have found about the topic.

  7. I got to your channel looking for informed opinions, detailed processes, and zero judgment, and that’s exactly what I found. Thank you so much for your work.

  8. Some interesting concepts here, as always it’s important to get many points of view and look at the science behind it, as well as your unique diagnosis.

  9. What you failed to mention is that they can not transplant if the done area is not thick enough and it’s not in many men. Hair loss at an early age really ruined my life.

    1. Use a good quality wig and your problem will be solved. Don’t worry or stress, it is a part of life. Be strong and graceful in life, face problems front on standing firm. Good luck!

  10. This is the best- professional explanation that I’ve ever watched so far in YouTube!

  11. I’m just 18 and I’m here finding ways to prevent hair loss. I love my hairs it is so sad to see that they are fading away!

    1. I found out that hair is related to bone density. The result of repeated research and experiments was the conclusion that hair needs a nutrient called calcium. It is also related to bones. It shows that taking the phosphoric acid necessary for bones is nutrition for hair. Experiments showed that hair also needed phosphoric acid.

  12. I love that you included your references in the description. That is rare and extremely appreciated.

  13. I was taking both minoxidil and finasteride for a few years, but I had to give up the finasteride because I also have osteopenia and it was worked out that that drug was thinning my bones faster than the other supplements I take could stabilise them. I think I was taking it every fifth day only if my memory’s right, so that makes me sad to hear that I was already on the lowest beneficial dosage and even that was too risky for me to take.
I’m still using minoxidil but I think my hair loss is slowly but surely overtaking its effectiveness. Anyone know of anything else that could block DHT that I may be able to discuss with my GP?

    1. @Daaey did this work for you? Found your content after hearing horror stories of fin.. i know it is possible to do naturally. Let me know

    2. Maca and pygeum will lower dht and cause no side effects it works the same as finisteride without the terrible side effects both are used for prostate health they shrink an enlarged prostate as dht promotes growth in the prostate

    3. @MrSeth166 have been taking maca for about 6 months for an enlarged prostate as I refused to take finisteride and dutasteride that was prescribed to me for an enlarged prostate as the side effects were horrific anyway I have a full head of hair just some receding at the sides to which I noticed it had started to grow again ,couldn’t take pygeum along with the maca as it was giving me sore stomach so only taking macawhich is mixed maca
Red yellow and black combined into one tablet, I take 2 a day first thing in the morning and nothing else

  14. My friend did hair transplant and his result is so good and looks natural. I think it’s the best way for baldness

    1. @Ebk bug He did it in Istanbul as he told me. Anyway you can ask him about his experience and maybe to see his result to know if it’s good for you or not
I will put his YouTube channel link from there you can find a way to find him . You will see the information in About channel. Because i cant put his number

  15. This is a godsend. Hair on the top of my head is starting to get rarer and, looking at my father and older brother, I should be happy I even have that problem. I’m getting self-conscious about it and maybe it’s time to get on the treatments. Surgery is out of the question, so I better start looking out for those pills andor foam. Thanks so much! Clear as day.

  16. I have two questions regarding finasteride dosage.
    1. What would be better, 1mg three times a week or 0.5mg every day?
    2. Would those taking 0.2mg eventually reach the same end results as those taking 1mg but just take longer to get there?

    1. Research out there shows that at a 1mg dose, you could take it every other day or even every 2/3 days and its nearly as effective as a daily dose and obviously would lower your risk of potential side effects. If youre experiencing side effects or worried you will that is always an option.
