In this video, I’m going to cover natural and effective remedies for hair loss.

Many top hair loss medications treat hair loss by blocking an enzyme (5-alpha reductase) to inhibit DHT. DHT is a powerful form of testosterone that can burn out hair follicles.

People with too much DHT can develop androgenetic alopecia or pattern hair loss. Onion juice, green tea, rosemary oil, and zinc can help inhibit 5-alpha reductase.

Fluoride from your water as well as sulfates from your shampoo can also potentially lead to hair loss. Try getting a shower head that filters out fluoride and use sulfate-free shampoo.

    Personally, I put a whole house fluoride filter in. I used this company (no I am not affiliated): https://crystalquest.com/collections/fluoride-water-filters
    They used to carry a showerhead to filter out fluoride but apparently now they only have whole house filters and under the counter filters.

    1. We ordered a hand held shower filter from Chrystal Quest, it was installed per the instructions and it leaked everywhere and the shower head was broken. They make you pay to ship it back and there return policy is very strict. Not easy dealing with them.

    1. @eeiko321 Hi there, for all those people that you are referring to, I would ask them if any of them actually tried any or all of what he is saying. So what I mean is, who all went on one of his suggested food plans, the exercising, the vitamins, the lifestyle changes altogether so see if these things reversed the issue. Did you know that when you do these things you can change and recalibrate your DNA? Plus the cause is different for everyone. Which then begins to put you a little farther AWAY from the predisposition of any genetic issue or disease? Sometimes the reason why people pay for it is because they can and probably feel it’s easier to pay than to make a lifestyle change because making the change actually takes knowledge, patience, and consistency. Speaking from experience, we want the quickest fix so we don’t have to face the shame and embarrassment of hair loss. But since I couldn’t afford anything cosmetic, I boiled rosemary leaves and cloves and made a spray and oil for my hair. I had postpartum hair fall 3 yrs ago. Last year I damaged it from protein and it really thinned out. I did the same thing again. It works. Now I’m sure I am having issues with wheat and gluten. Time for another lifestyle change and I am not looking forward to this one but I am gonna do it. My point is I don’t think people are lazy but they are tired. Tired of trying 1 thing after another but the natural remedies do work and the human body will respond magnificently because that is what it is designed to do.

  5. What I like most about you Dr.Berg is that you get right to the point. There are so many videos out there talking about diets and cures including other Doctors that keep talking actually about everything except for getting to the topic that their videos are meant to be about and what ultimately to do. You’re always spot on and your videos can actually put to practical use.

    1. The reason other doctors don’t just say the treatment is because typically they justify themselves with peer-reviewed science and good arguments for and against each treatment. Probably 50% of what this guy says is unsubstantiated hogwash.

    1. Sara I’ve been looking myself into this and seems to take several months to a year. Then ongoing after that. I’m going to try a few things myself. Hopefully they work.

    2. I have hashimoto’s thyroiditis and I eat to Brazil nuts everyday. it took about a month but I started noticing my hair was getting thicker and healthier and I wasn’t losing as much.
      I tried taking synthroid for a few years and it did nothing but make my hair more like straw and it was falling out even more than before I started taking it. I’m on the ketovore diet and I’ve noticed I’m getting a lot healthier and I’ve lost 40 lb over the past year.
      in my experience you’ll start to see some changes for the better in about 2 weeks.

  10. My hair loss started right after the pandemic. I have been going through it for a year now. Somehow I still have so much hair but that is because my har grows very fast. Im pretty sure my issue is mainly stress. I’m really gonna take my sleep more seriously since I already workout. I am going to start meditating again and see how that goes. So far I am not deficient on anything ( i was vitamin D deficient but started supplementing and i’m not anymore :)) Thank you doctor!

  11. Every time I watch one of your videos your voice is so soothing and it’s like the way you explain it is so easy for me to understand. I’m going to try all these I’m a 42-year-old male and when I was 18 my hair is receded like a widow’s peak on the sides but I still have pretty much a full head of hair. My dad was completely bald and my mom’s dad was completely bald and my brother’s bald even after trying rogaine but I’ve always done these different home remedies rice water is another good one, rosemary oil. I take vitamin D3 every other day. I think this video is great for maintaining good hair as well. You don’t want to try to regrow your hair when you’re halfway gone by then it might be too late. Great video!

  14. 4:37 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar in one litre water. So what is 1/3 cup of acv? What is the 1/3 of measurement? Is it 78ml? And after applying it on my scalp how long should I wait before taking shower? Should I wash with shampoo? Or should I just apply apple cider vinegar as mentioned and not taking bath?
