I hate wigs as they always look ‘fake’ and shiny…I never wore them even when I was almost bald with my chemo as I hate the look of them. To me extensions can look so natural and they blend in. Thanks for sharing…put them on my wish list! I was into extentions a dozen years ago & got away from them. Now that I am 61, for the last year or so I noticed my hair much shorter than pic’s of me a few years ago, ( even though I only give myself the tiniest of trims a few times a year, & my hair grows 1/2 inch a month, I can tell by the roots, so it’s a breakage problem). so I could really use these! ; )
Deborah, I know just what you mean! The front part of my hair just WON’T grow out any longer anymore no matter how little I trim it. My hairdresser said that sometimes happens as we age. Extensions really do help! Love you! XXOO
You’re such a delight! Hard to believe you’re as old as you say. You look absolutely great with long hair. Not all of us “grown up women” can pull off a long hair style regardless of how healthy and full it is.
Thanks so much! I think you would be surprised at how good they would look on you. I actually already cut them as I think they were really a bit too long. They offer them in a 14″ length. I think you might be surprised by how good that could look on you, even if you didn’t wear them all the time. Just food for thought!

Oh, yes. As my hair has thinned over the years (and continues to thin) from growing “mature”, I found I needed help with more density. I use LOX Entensions, the synthetic ones, the clips are so comfortable, color is a perfect match, heat-friendly, well made. I wish the clips did not set off metal detectors/airport security; sort of embarrassing when a metal detector goes off and you have to divulge you are wearing fake hair; I don’t wear my extensions if I know I an going to have to pass through security 🙂 Love the extensions, don’t cut them, you can wear long hair. “They” say, that woman over a certain age, should not wear long hair, I disagree, totally. So tired of these so-called experts telling us more mature women, to dress dowdy, wear less makeup, keep your hair short, don’t dress trendy, etc., They can take a hike, I do as I like, all women should. I will keep that brand in mind for the future. They look fabulous on you…Thank you!
Thanks so much Lisa! Those Lox extensions sound great! I will have to check them out. For some reason my extensions don’t set off the airport security alarms, but my new knee DOES!! In the past six months since I got my knee replacement I am getting pretty used to big airport security women patting me down! I know what you mean about embarrassing! Unfortunately, I already cut them. I work in an insurance office and do enrollment meetings, and the longer hair just doesn’t look as business like. I can barely get away with my 14″ ones! LOL!! Well, I would say, buy a long set of extensions and wear them on your days oof, going to dinner with your hubby, parties, etc., you look fabulous with long hair, you should definitely take advantage of it. I am 51 and have two sets of extensions: one 16 inches and the other 20 inches long. Depending on my mood, where I am going etc., I select the length for the day. My 20 inch goes down to my lower back, love it, so fun 🙂
